You haven't been on MoPac lately? I was driving home from downtown Tuesday night (I'm near Pflugerville), dutifully obeying the 55 limit in the construction zones. I got my doors blown off the whole way. Not a cop in sight.

Solution- move to a smaller city like Fredericksburg.

Miles of driving roads where you'll see more livestock than people.

Go figure; in the midst of major construction, traffic on Mopac has never been faster...

I have been seeing cops there tho, especially at night.

All said, it's really not that bad in Austin proper. WilCo cops are much more agressive with speed enforcement, it seems.

I drive MoPac as little as possible now that the "improvements" have begun. It's going to suck for the next 18 months, and will probably be no better when they are done.
